Keynote Presentations

Debra Em Wilson is available for keynote presentations. Her talks are upbeat and motivating. Sound theory, along with fun music and movement routines are sprinkled throughout the talk. Debra modifies her presentations to reflect the theme of the conference and training goals of the sponsoring organization.

S’cool Moves Training Options

Level 1: Focusing on Focus Workshop
No prerequisite
This workshop provides an informative overview of S’cool Moves principles and activities. All participants receive a S’cool Moves notebook jam packed with research, lesson plans, home letters, and activities.

Level 2: Focus Moves Workshop
Prerequisite: Level 1
Participants learn Focus Moves activities appropriate to the developmental level of the students they teach. All three Focus Moves poster levels will be taught by two instructors. Groups will be together for theory and then separate into leveled Focus Moves poster activities.

Level 3: Sensory Clues Reading Workshop
Prerequisite: None
This workshop focuses specifically on reading and underlying sensory challenges that hold back bright, capable children from reaching their full reading potential. Participants learn how to observe and assess seven sensory areas.

 
 

Bring S'cool Moves to Your Area or School

You'll receive the workshop for free AND a S'cool Moves package of your choice.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide an appropriate space for the workshop (if space has a fee, this cost comes out of workshop proceeds) tables, chairs, room to move, nice setting, etc.
  • Circulate flyers advertising the workshop (flyers provided by S'cool Moves)
  • Collect registration forms and maintain a data base that includes: name, address, phone, and email address
  • Provide participants with a confirmation letter and map to workshop
  • Answer any questions participants have via phone or email
  • Email or send on CD database of participant information to S'cool Moves
  • Secure TV, VCR/DVD player, overhead projector, and microphone (if large group) for workshop
  • Provide healthy snacks and water bottles for participants
  • S'cool Moves will bill credit cards or puchase orders so keep these registrations separate
  • Greet participants and help with back room table sales
  • Stay in contact with S'cool Moves regarding registration numbers

Airfare, travel costs, etc. are covered through workshop proceeds. There are NO OUT OF POCKET expenses for sponsors. A minimum of 25 paying registrants is required to hold a class.
