EARN UP TO 3 UNITS OF COLLEGE CREDIT
RECEIVE S'COOL MOVES MATERIALS AS PART OF THE COURSE
Participants will:
- Increase their ability to apply brain research, mind-body science, and occupational therapy techniques to the classroom and clinic environments in a practical, hands-on manner
- Identify the 7 levels of the Neurophysiological Learning Pyramid including the Autonomic Nervous System, Sensation, Posture, Body Awareness, Laterality, Directionality, Pre-Academic, and Integrative Success
- Understand how to focus students with minimal effort, while gaining maximum effect
- Provide families with the principles for the implementation and theory of S’cool Moves practices in the home setting
- Plan and implement a collaboration day at their site using S’cool Moves activities
- Apply principles of the S’cool Moves model to their lesson plans/therapy sessions
- Integrate movement strategies and key principles into their daily routines
- Discover fun and playful ways to integrate therapy practices into the classroom setting ensuring success for all students, not just those with special needs
Course Enrollment Fees
All course fees include some or all of the following: S’cool Moves Theory book, S’cool Moves posters, and Informational DVDs.
Unit fees apply to each individual and are made payable to CSU, Chico upon registering for the class. Coursework must be completed by set deadline.
Check with your district to ensure units are approved. Units are credit/no credit only.
