Children roll the cube to determine what calming movement they'll do. For children who are nonverbal, the cube serves as a way to communicate via pointing to a picture.

Calming Cube movements is designed to supplement Focus Plans used with our Rolling Into Reading DVD. The cube can be used individually or with the whole class. Appoint someone in the class to be the Classroom Calmer. They choose someone to roll the cube when the class needs to quiet down and refocus. The whole class does the movement together.
